Tara

The Tara mountain is located in the western part of Serbia, bordered by the Drina canyon from the northwest, and descends towards the Kreman plain in the southeastern part and branches. Part of the Tara mountain, due to the preservation of nature and biodiversity, was declared a national park in 1981 and is under state protection. Geomorphological and geological diversity, specific hydrological characteristics, and climate have conditioned the richness of flora and a large number of endemic and relict plant species, above all – Pancic’s spruce, whose Tara is the only natural habitat.
The temperate-continental and mountain climate of Tara is such that it has a favorable effect on the treatment of asthma, bronchitis, and anemia. Mountain air stimulates the strengthening of the body’s immune system. The climatic characteristics of Tara correspond to the type of air spa.
