Klisura Reke Djetinje

PURPOSE OF THE PLATFORM

The gorge of the river Djetinja is the pearl of the city of Uzice! The green trail, natural beauties, and cultural-historical contents near the urban part of the city were selected for the pilot action of the THEMATIC project implemented by the RDA Zlatibor within the ADRION program. The pilot action includes the creation of a multifunctional platform for the promotion of the natural and cultural heritage of Western Serbia, with a special focus on the gorge of the river Djetinja.
The goal of the platform is to create preconditions for the promotion of the unified tourist offer of the area, which in addition to natural beauties and opportunities for various activities in nature, also offers cultural and historical attractions, which make this area unique.
In the last few years, significant funds have been invested in the restoration of cultural and historical heritage, as well as in the infrastructure for active tourism and in improving the accessibility of tourist facilities. The opening of the StaPARK Archaeological Museum has enriched the tourist offer and created preconditions for the valorization of the protected area and the attraction of a larger number of tourists.
The THEMATIC pilot project contributes to increasing the visibility and accessibility of cultural and natural contents in the gorge of the river Djetinja and attracting visitors. To coordinate the activities of all stakeholders, public institutions and representatives of the private and civil sector from the city of Uzice are involved in the design of the concept of the multifunctional platform.
